Change Labs Tuba City Opening Celebration

You’re cordially invited to participate in Friday public festivities that celebrate the historic grand opening of the first Change Labs Entrepreneurship Hub and unveiling of the Tuba City Outdoor Market.

10am MDT - Ribbon Cutting at Change Labs
Join the Change Labs Board of Directors, Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren, and Tuba City leaders to officially open the Change Labs doors to the community! After the ribbon cutting, we’ll be serving food and featuring local artists and entrepreneurs throughout the day.

11am MDT - Screen Printing with OXDX at Change Labs
OXDX founder, Jared Yazzie, will be screen printing a custom design he made in celebration of Indigenous entrepreneurship. Bring any cotton garments that you’d like him to screen print, or purchase a blank tee at Change Labs to get your gear branded by OXDX! Jared will be onsite from 11am to 3pm MDT

12pm MDT - Live Muraling & Business Model Canvas at Change Labs
Work with a Native artist to build a community mural in the new Change Labs Entrepreneurship Hub! Or drop in a visit with one of the Change Labs business coaches to talk about designing your business model or building your business idea!

12pm MDT - Welcoming Address at the new Tuba City Outdoor Market
Join Tuba City leadership, Moenkopi leadership, Delegate Otto Tso, Change Labs leadership, and NTEC representatives to unveil the plans, progress, and new branding of the Tuba City Outdoor Market!

1pm MDT - Tuba City Community Survey at the Tuba City Outdoor Market
Support the Tuba City Chapter Planning & Zoning team with your participation in their survey designed to get community input on planning priorities for Tuba City. The Planning & Zoning team will show you how to participate and share their goals for the community.

2pm MDT - “What It Takes to Make Change” panel event at Change Labs
Change Labs co-founders, Heather Fleming and Jessica Stago, will share the 5-year journey of acquiring land, raising capital, and navigating tribal processes to erect the Entrepreneurship Hub. This is a story of what every Navajo entrepreneur goes through when establishing a business or nonprofit on Native land.
