Lending Coach with a bookkeeping or accounting background

Our Lending Coaches are responsible for safeguarding the financial health of Change Labs’ loan portfolio while supporting the long-term success of the entrepreneurs we serve. This position has a special focus on building financial capacity and accounting literacy among Native entrepreneurs, especially those preparing for loans or receiving post-loan technical assistance. The coach will help business owners set up and manage bookkeeping systems (Wave, QuickBooks, spreadsheets, or other tools), understand financial statements, prepare for tax filings, and generate the reports needed for capital access and loan compliance.

Kinship Lending 8-week Summer Internship

This summer, Change Labs is deploying capital at a high volume and improving loan readiness systems to better serve Navajo entrepreneurs. We’re looking for a curious, thoughtful intern to support our lending team for 8-weeks while learning how community-based lending works in practice. This internship combines essential operational support with hands-on learning about small business lending, loan readiness, and borrower experience. Applicants must be currently enrolled in higher education (universities, community college, vocational school, etc) and be available for 8-weeks in Summer 2026 in either Tuba City, Shiprock, Phoenix, or Santa Fe.
