Part 1: The Foundation
We kick off the workshop by building your electrical toolkit. We will break down complex concepts into simple, intuitive frameworks so you can confidently evaluate your power needs.
Speaking the Language: Understand the relationship between Volts, Amps, Watts, and Watt-hours.
The Power Audit: Learn how to perform a comprehensive Load Analysis by identifying the startup and running power draw of your business equipment.
Sizing Your System: Discover the step-by-step formula to size your battery bank, solar array, and inverter to ensure you never run out of juice mid-shift.
Part 2: The Execution
The best way to learn is by doing. In this extended hands-on block, you will put theory into practice.
Build Your Personal Load Profile: Using a guided worksheet, you will calculate the actual power consumption of your own business. You’ll walk away with a personalized "power budget" that tells you exactly how much energy your hustle requires.
Wire a Live Solar Setup: Working in small groups, you will get your hands dirty wiring a real, low-voltage solar power system from scratch. You will connect the core components of an off-grid system: Solar Panel, Charge Controller, Battery. and Inverter.
By the end of this workshop, you will walk away with a completed Load Analysis Worksheet customized to your business’s specific equipment, the confidence to select, connect, and safely troubleshoot the key components of a mobile solar system, and a clear roadmap for building a safe, code-compliant, and reliable power system that gives your business true geographic freedom.
