OneAZ Credit Union Invests $130,000 in Legacy Grants toStrengthen Arizona’s Workforce and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Funding Supports, JobPath, Change Labs and Startup Tucson

PHOENIX (June 23, 2025) – OneAZ Credit Union is proud to announce $130,000 in Legacy Grants awarded to three dynamic Arizona nonprofits — JobPath, Change Labs, and Startup Tucson — all dedicated to advancing economic empowerment and entrepreneurship across the state. These grants will fuel programs that help individuals and entrepreneurs overcome barriers, build skills, and create long-term financial stability in both Northern and Southern Arizona.

“We’re honored to partner with these incredible organizations that are truly transforming Arizona’s economic landscape,” said Robert Raygoza, Executive Director, OneAZ Community Foundation. “Through these Legacy Grants, we’re helping create opportunities for individuals and entrepreneurs to thrive. Investing in education, workforce development, and Native entrepreneurship is a vital part of building stronger, more resilient communities across our state.”

The grants will fund: • Change Labs ($50,000) in Northern Arizona to implement Create & Elevate, a two-part initiative focused on enhancing branding and storytelling for Native entrepreneurs across the Navajo and Hopi Nations.

• Startup Tucson ($50,000) in Southern Arizona to expand three key programs—HIVE Propel, Build to Thrive, and Growth Table—that provide mentorship, business coaching, and peer support to Southern Arizona entrepreneurs navigating the challenging early stages of business growth.

• JobPath ($30,000) in Southern Arizona to support 300 students in Pima and Cochise counties with wraparound coaching, financial assistance, and workforce readiness training—helping adults transition into high-wage careers in healthcare, IT, and skilled trades.

Heather Fleming (Diné), Executive Director of Change Labs, said “We’re deeply grateful for this investment in Native entrepreneurship. These resources will help us equip more Indigenous business owners across Arizona with the marketing tools and confidence they need to grow their presence in today’s economy, as well as spotlight Native innovation and leadership in a powerful way.”

Since 2016, the OneAZ Community Foundation has invested over $2 million in programs that foster economic opportunity, financial education, and community leadership across Arizona.
